Mouse Guard
Life is especially hard on the little creatures. Take the mouse I caught in the apartment just ten minutes ago.
I couldn't get it out of the glue that held it in the trap. So, I took it outside, covered it with a paper bag and crushed it with a free-weight. It was difficult, but I can't abide mice coming in our home. They can carry disease, or mites, bacteria, or worse. So I acted how I hope anyone with a conscience would have acted. I hope he doesn't think it was personal. I've got three more traps laid about the apartment, I hope that one is all I ever need deal with. I'll check 'em in the morning. Time for some rest.

New Art plus steins
Here is a little sketch I did, and in ink, by God!
It's a fauny lady concept for an ongoing project's development.
the jist of this character is that her horns, hooves, and tail are part of her anatomy. She wants to accentuate her animal side futher, so she dresses in wooly leggings and wears fur on her forearms. In her world, animal in beautiful.
Check out these incredible ceramic steins that Jodi arranged/got/made happen for a belated birthday present. Check out the 0.5 Liters mark on the side. Brillo pads. It's gonna be Spotted Cow and Boddingtons this weekend, methinks. Man, I'm getting thirstly already.
Cheers,
-Micah

New location
Hello, my grumpy little badgers!
Jodi and I just moved up to Madison, WI. Lots of cool artists and other creators working around here. I just met Josh Crawly, freelance letterer and comic retailer; Mark Nelson, artist, professor, and master of sarcasm (sorry Mark, this was the best gallery that I, and google, could find); and Leanne Buckley, artist of the Long Count (good lord, is she good). I met others, but they must forgive me my lapses of memory, I cannot remember their names. Good folks all.
Our apartment is also coming together nicely. After a fire in our garage, three days without hot water, and a broken microwave from 1982 was replaced, things are looking up. Cheers folks, it's time to get back to work.

Postcards
These are a few pages from the Postcards short story I illustrated, authored by Joshua Fialkov. It's a melancholy story of a marriage that isn't working out right in the city of lights called, Homesick. It was great to work with Josh, his storytelling is so genuine. I hope you dig these pages, and check out Postcards when it comes out on July 17. Cheers,
-Micah
